American society is very flawed. There are deep rooted issues regarding race, economic status, gender, and so much more. In today's society white males have an enormous amount of privilege that makes it easier for them to navigate America's societal and institutional systems.
This illustration is a depiction of how white men are able to constantly be reaching and achieving more while so many others are left out of the picture.
This illustration went through a variety of iterations before ending up as it is above. The following images are some of preliminary ideation, brainstorming, and sketches.
